In 1-911 he went to Toronto, where he built 8`. number of resid- ences in what was then a thickly populated Isuburb of that city, _-and had one of the avenuw named `Bar-rie after the town in which he was always interested. After re- turning from Toronto, he purchased a farm near Colwell and it was while clearing up a recently -acquired addition to that farm that he was attacked by appendicitis.
