miss mona armstrong and the hearty co operation of the individual teachers the good quality of the pieces chosen the blending of voices in the various parts the sweet tones and clear enun ciation were evidence of care ful thoughtful training the response of the children and their good attention throu ghout a long hot evening was most commendable dr fen- wick himself conducted the mass choir in the rendering of his own composition of dear canada the evening was brought to a close with a grand finale from the mass choir sing ing creations hymn to the organ accompaniment mrs c xolan was accompanist on both organ and piano it is most commendable that officials of school boards have given such place to music in the elementary schools it has values for the individual child that measure
