headed eight identi cal sunday dates rarity along with a challenge that the skeptical one of which 1 am whom could take time out and prove the article for himself cautioning one to start early in the evening for the task this correspondent must be very slow for it took not one but several evenings to discover the following resulu- the first discovery made was that you had obtained your story from some bureau of misinformation and 1 hesitantly take the liberty to point out that your second paragraph states going back 20 years one finds no similar occurrence as a matter of fact as late as 1912 the same calendar was used as 1933 in this present century it has happened besides 1912 in 1931 192a 191 and 1903 and before this century is conclud ed it will happen again in 1950 1970 1981 19s7 and 199s it also happened 11 times in the last century from 1801 to 1s9l and now ifor something per taining to february that is rare for those who are church and sunday minded february has five sundays orlv six times in the 19th and 20th centuries ie in 1s2- 1352 1ss0 1920 19 is and 1970 and for those who get their weekly pay on saturday the phenomena of five saturdays in february occurs but eight times in the 19th and 20th centuries ie in 1812 1810 1s0s 1890 1908 1938 1961 and 1992 and seeing that i have used til about a ream of paper and i figure it is mostly vour fault i may as well add a couple of observations made before 1 consign this pile of paper and figures in the fireplace the year 1800 first appeared oi a wednesday the year 1900s first day was on a mon day and the year 2000 will make itself first felt on a sat urday this will be a leap year having five tuesdays in feb ruary it will also be the firs leap year on the even hundred years since 1000 but dont make any date for
