two other clare- mont gentleman decided to get some fresh air and exercise on the school rink but for mr fryer the results were disastrous while waltzing merrily over the slippery surface he suddenly lost his bal ance and fell on his arm breaking his elbow in three places because the break was of a serious nature it was necessary to wire it to gether and it will be in a sling for some time mr fryer is a brother- inlaw to ken garage oper ator on the four corners around 2 oclock last sunday morning the community was awakened by the fire alarm and soon the brigade was speeding on its way where a ball of fire was to be plainly seen in the eastern sky nearby and proved to be an empty chicken house on the prem ises of mr and mrs w evans it was soon extinguished and another and larger building near by saved several homes are located close to the scene which would have been endangered with out prompt assistance mr and mrs evans are very grateful for the prompt efficient help of the county hog producers association was held in the town hall beaverton with loo hog pro ducers in attendance the possibility of holding a bacon hog show in connection with the ontario county seed fair
