pilkey and mr lyman pilkey all are life long residents of our com munity she has been obliged to live quietly during the past years owing to ill health but is at the present time much improved there showed total cash receipts of 431459 with an expenditure of 3s5490 giving a balance of over 40000 on hand the cost of paint ing and repairing walls was 34912 and the new chairs cost 295 the income tax paid for the teacher was 22190 the retiring trustee was f m chapman who presented his 15th annual financial statement and con gratulated the section in having one of the lowest mill rates in the town ship the old school never appeared to better advantage than it does to day being neat commodious attrac tive and well equipped mr chapman said that he had been a pupil at this school for 7 years a teacher for three and a half years and a trustee for twenty years and he worked on the old custom of doing this work as a contribution to the section robt hedge acted as chairman and chas clemence as secretary for the meet ing gordon smith moved and ken pratt seconded that fred puckrln a former trustee be elected the new trustee it was carried unanimously a motion thanking the retiring trustee for
