relatives from united states and all parts of ontario gathered at his farm home in honor of the occasion mr tran is in very good health and was on hand to welcome over eighty guests to the reunion the four daughters mrs w a thompson of markham mrs geo cowie of siouffville mrs e d 6th line whitchurch sunday visitors with mr and mrs gorman dixon weie mr and mrs a dixon of toronto and mr and sirs russel couperthwake of mongolia mr and mrs clarence foote and family called on mr and mrs nor man steckley sunday evening a group of young people got to gether last friday night and drove to agincourt to chivari mr and mrs bud kerr quite the band mr and mrs ross winterstein visited on sunday with mrs robt winterstein mrs bruce clarke and family enjoyed a vacation at clarkes cot tage bala last week mr clarke and mr and mrs johannes schmidts joined mrs clarke for the weekend miss alma pilkey and mr byers called on mr and mrs bacon on sunday evening miss doris conner and mr aid logan visited at the steckley home last wednesday evening mr and mrs douglas cain and joanne of sandford and mr and mrs mervin harper ami family were dinner guests with mr and mrs ross harper on sunday sharpe of sheridan wyoming and mrs will maxwell of markham and two sons mr gardham tran of markham and mr david tran on the home farm near claremont were all present at the celebration mr trans favorite hobby ls reading he can be found sitting in his favourite chair with a book where he will read by the hour there are two events during the year that mr tran never misses the one being markham fair and the other the international ploughing match the 97 year old pickering twp resident is the same age as the fair and held the position of president at one time a prize plowman in his day mr tran still attends and although methods have changed somewhat since the days when he walked off with the honors he still considers himself a good judge when it comes to turning a furrow he attended the
