be present for thanksgiving celebrationis with his family pastor berry was guest minister at palmerston anniversary service last sun day and enjoyed meeting former paris- ioners in his absence rev a g doner conducted serviee in the local church a cloud of sorrow settled over the community when it was learned that jos b reesor of vineland passed away so shortly after his mother mrs tillman reesor for over ninety years this es teemed woman lived at the reesor home and will be remembered by her many friends both young and old her younger son joseph was a prominent figure in wideman church activities and also ser ved the school section as trustee for a number of years the entire neighbor hood has been deeply moved with sym pathy for the family in this double be reavement the moyer meeting of the south ontario district womens institute executive recently in the parish hall whitby gormley mr paul jones who is working with the hydro at new hamburg spent sever al days last week at his home here mr rondell klinck of fordwich is visiting some of his gormley friends this week a miscellaneous shower was given to mr and mrs donald stecklcy of toronto on monday evening by his relatives and old gormley neighbors a lovely variety of gifts was received we wish a speedy recovery to mrs j e nobb who suffered a stroke last week we congratulate mr and mrs lewis heise on the birth of a son last saturday i mr and mrs e hunt and ruth had sunday evening supper with mr and mrs a farmer and paul i mr and mrs harvey cassel and family of preston visited in the henderson home i for the weekend mr and mrs earl honsberger returned missionaries from africa and mrs john barkey of stouff ville had dinner on wednesday at j the home of mr and mrs alvin farmer the gathering feasted on a supper after the wedding cake was cut i mr yvilmot bain of zephyr acting as toastmaster proposed a toast to the bride which the groom i responded to in a few well chosen words the bride and groom of 25 years were the recipients of many lovely gifts after thanking their friends a social hour brought a most enjoyable evening to a close the hostesses of the evening were the two daughters of the bride and groom mrs lloyd feas- by marion and doris rise- brough unionville lance corporal h j mclnnis son of mr and mrs a mclnnis of unionville who is with the signal corps recently arrived at port lewis washington his train wau the first of the troop trains to arrive at their destination he will be in training at that camp for 4 months according to the message received by his parents doner raymer a quiet and interesting wedding was solemnized by rev h s hallman of stouffville united missionary church on wednesday nov 22 at 3 pm when rev a g doner and mrs p a raymer were united in marriage at the home of mr doner at dicksons hill where they will continue to make their residence owing to the limited rooms in the home the invited guests were confined to the closer members of botli families following the ceremony a buffet luncheon was served after wliich the bride and groom left by motor for a short honeymoon in the north keep the walks clean we have been asked to draw
