markham tied the score in a fast second period when reg singleton scored the only goal neither team scored in ths final thrilling 20 minutes and the game ended in a threeall tie clippermeteor game sets fast pace jim thomas seven hundred turned out on saturday night to witness the leagues two evenly matched teams stouffville clippers and toronto meteors battle it out in the local arena xo one could deny the game had everything from wild freeforalls to fast smooth passing plays from one end to the other the meteors started very fast and before five seconds had ticked by sherban beat mulholland from close in after many close scrambles couch banged one in from lewis to tie the score and end the period the second twenty minutes was a repeat performance of the first with the city
