is im proving friends will be glad to learn mr fred jackson church st suffered a broken wrist one day last week while working on the roof of the lehman and agnew stores mr jackson was applying a roof coating when the ladder which he was ascending suddenly slipped and he was thrown to the ground along with a large heavy container of coating material an item of interest was omitted from last weeks report of the meet ing of the garrett evening auxili ary a life membership certificate was presented to miss gertrude todd by the members of the auxili ary in recognition of her faithful service the presentation was made by mrs douglas davis and miss emma winn stouffville resumed standard time last sunday the ontario hydro commission came out with an admission that to continue day light saving time was no advantage to them in the matter of saving power when trade unions tried to get daylight time continued we would hope that this will be remem bered next year when the old agitation comes
