jeanetta louise titus beloved wife of thomas linton passed away at her home in lvbridge on friday january 3rd 1947 in her 72iid years a report in the oxbridge timesjournal says mrs linton had been feeling very well up until thursday when she suffered a heart attack from which she failed to rally passing away friday the late jeanetta louis titus was born in markham in 1s75 a daughter of the late levi titus and esther cockerell and over sixty- five years ago they moved to ux- bridge where she met and married thomas linton and has lived there ever since she was a member of the free methodist church richmond hill lions give 25000 hall 19 to 2ft a week of free time 27 assemble in london 2s sail from southampton the richmond hill liberal makes the announcement that the lions club in that town is about to build and hand over to the village there a modern 25000 community hall free of all encumbrance this is a sharp contrast with the lions club in stouffville where the organization even decided against showing their hand in giving organized support on the recent vote on the hall issue here the richmond hill liberal states richmond hill will have a com munity hall to cost in the neighbor hood of 25000 and answer about every conceivable purpose that could be suggested and without cost to the taxpayers it will be a gift to the village from the lions club and at the meeting of the village council monday evening the clubs decision to proceed with the project wasl revealed by lions tom lamb paul angle and j a greene the meeting was one of the most dramatic ever held by a municipal council in ontario in as much as perhaps seldom if ever have public representatives encountered such high ideals of citizenship and public service as those suggested by the lions committee the hall said mr lamb is to be an but and out gift from the lions to the people of richmond hill we will finance it and build it and hand it over to council with the suggestion that a commission be appointed to look after it and see that it is self sustaining the lions have already had arch itects plans for the hall drawn and these plans mr limb put before council fr examination thf build ing will be 75 feet in length north and south the hall proper being about 50 by 32 feet and it will con tain also wash rooms storage room and a first class well equipped kitchen etc importa respecting price conti 0tice the wartime prices and trade regulations order in council pc 8528 of november 1 1941 established basic period maximum prices for goods and designated services these regulations were passed under the authority of the war measures act and continued in force under the national emergency transitional powers act 1945 from time to time these basic maximum prices have been varied or the fixed maximum has been suspended in the case of particular goods and services by orders issued by the wartime prices and trade board under the authority of the above regulations a few days ago a sub stantial number of suspensions from price control was announced summary of i believe it is desirable therefore that a summary should now be published of those goods and services on which a legal maximum price remains in force under the provisions of the wartime prices and trade regulations so that all citizens may be given an opportunity to inform themselves of the law the complete price control regulations are contained in wartime prices and trade board order no 684 which is available to the public at any office of the wartime prices and trade board and to which reference should be
