at the goodwood town hall to say fare well to them and to extend good wishes to them for their welfare in their new home in sunderland the evening was spent in visiting after which an address was read by mr john ashenhurst and presenta tion of a trilight floor lamp made by mr charles feasby a dainty lunch was served by the ladies and the evening closed with best wishes from the goodwood community report the sudden death of mr pope reported elsewhere the excitement of our election for council is over the reeve and deputyreeve received an acclama tion but there was a contest for three councillors four candidates running ralph faulkner bertrum tindall and wendal alcock were elected we congratulate them on their success in the evening all gathered in the hall to hear the speeches and a good time was had walter symes expects ralph faulk ner will be instrumental in getting a road fixed he claims is in bad shape everything at john raos sale went good several bidding on the house which was not sold at the sale but was afterwards purchased by mr fred robinson mr rae and family have moved to sunder land mrs j f reid has been on the sick list the last few days mr dan wagg has
