glover entertained a number of iter girl friends at a birthday party last week miss beula heise is spending sev eral days in fhe home of mr and mrs sn doner mr and mrs a moses has left the employ of mr percy cober to work at st michaels college farm near wilcox lake miss helen evans spent sunday with fara it lias happened again two weeks ago it was reported that miss agnes sider was working at crystal beach for the summer since then we have learned that she as well as miss agnes cober are being engag ed at thunder bay for the summer gormley seems to be looking p according to all improvements and additions to a number of homes the homes of mr e hunt and also the homes occupied by mrs m haig owned by mr harry bennett are both being covered with brick siding to cope with the wintry blasts in the hunt home many other improvements are be ing made in other homes we hear rumors of painting and papering going on then on the property of mr alvin winger a new home is being built these with other im provements all help to make gorm ley more attractive mitchell we are glad to hear our local school teacher mr garnet gray of oxbridge is remaining with us for another term he has been here for the past two years which speaks for itself of his teaching ability we extend our sympathy to mr thos dowswell and family and relatives in their recent bereave ment congratulations to our two local boys allan taylor and george dowswell who attended the junior farmers field day last saturday at sunderland and were successful in winning a prize on the mile race allan coming in first and
