visited mr and mrs fred reesor locust hill mr and mrs frank robb from markham were guests here on sunday miss celeste bright and mr wei lington wideman spent thursday evening with mrs carruthers and family mr and mrs arnold and carl spent sunday in newmarket with her sister miss doane eric wallace toronto spent the weekend with his parents here frank couperthwaite was home over the weekend mr and mrs symes of claremont visited on sunday with mr and mrs gall here rev and mrsbrown had tea with mr and mrs norman lehman one night last week also mr and mrs david nighswander altona were dinner guests at lehmans home on sunday dogs attack cattle kill and damage believed to be the work of roam ing dogs cattle were attacked on the farm of lome johnson 4th concession whitchurch several days ago resulting in one animal being killed and several injured clerk john crawford stated on wednesday that the dogs which killed sheep on the farm of dr devins on the 5th concession only little more than amilecfroin the johnson place were suspected of the most recent crime i three or four cattle were severe ly bitten one animal was chased and is still missing while one bitten about theriose apparently died of exhaustion and fright in a rather boggy spot on wednesday morn ing the hunt for the missing animal gone several days was still on 6th line whitchurch mr and mrs art pugh of barrie were sunday visitors at the pugh home mrs david pugh although not enjoying the best of health was very pleasantly surprised last fri day by a deluge of cards conveying the good wishes of her many friends and
