ease pioved fatal for the father who was the last to be taken down mr beckett was 59 years of age and a well known farmer at box grove markham township when his con dition became serious he was re moved to the isolation hospital in toronto where he passed away mrs beckett was the former ella jarvis of markham township and great sympathy is being extended to her and their son the funeral from the late home at box giove was largely attended ballantrae our township assessor fred cum- mlngs is ready to start out on his official duties as tax collector for the township of whitchurch he is supposed to cover the ground in six weeks and in his duties he will collect the dog taxes for the whole army of dogs running into the hundreds it is rumored that the household effects of the late after a severe attack on thursday evening last mrs wideman had been feeling much better of late and it as hoped that she might be spared for some time yet and particularly in the hope that she might albert miller were seriously injur ed in a level crossing crash on the cxr main line at mount albert last thursday hammetts truck with smith driving was struck by a fast southbound flyer and tossed in
