condition mr dike was born at siloam the son of the late mr and mrs frederick dike on march 13 1s9 4 he married jane ada fletcher mrs dike died in 1935 mr dike who was very fond of children was a popular and familiar figure around the town although on in years he was clever and bright and will be greatly missed he had celebrated his soth birthday on august 24 just three days before his death mr dike was a miller by occupation and for many years had a flour and chopping mill in mount albert in his early days he was a thresher and a farmer at one time he was in charge of the local electric light plant for mount albert mr dike was a shareholder in the mount albert telephone company he belonged to the united church where he was as faithful a member as his health would permit every person
