friend visited on sunday at jos coopers helen and friend re mained for a weeks holiday goodwood miss eva latcham of toronto spent the weekend with her father mr elmer cooper of toronto home over the pine grove spent a day last week with mr and mrs clarence jones mr and mrs everett hockley spent monday picking huckleberries back north callers at mr harold nortons on sunday were mrs g brown and mrs e norton mr gordon syme3 and mr moses norton miss ruby hockley and master kenneth and allan hockley spent monday with their grandparents mr and mrs george jones of the 4th line mrs walter symes accompanied by mr wm robb sr and mr and mrs wm robb jr of toronto spent sunday with mr and mrs morlcy symes at goodwood unionville unionville athletic association held a successful field day in crosby memorial rink on saturday with an attendance of between five and six hundred the ladies ball game was won by agincourt against milliken thornhill newmarket and unionville and the pitching of eleven year old maggie buchanon on the milliken team interested the crowd maggie was holidaying in milliken the boys game was won by whitevale against unionville and milliken the ladies open race for a silver tea service went to miss eleanor thomson and the married ladies to mrs rogerson the prize being a tea service the tug-o- war teams from unionville went to the team captained by ben gayman the concert put on by cedar grove young people was well done with the fruit harvest at its height and the country women bus ily engaed in conserving the abun dant crop of fruit and vegetables as a special
