cousin miss erla holden in stouff ville while attending bible school the sympathy of our community is extended to mr and mrs alex dunbar in the death of their little eighteenmonthsold daughter the funeral was held on monday after noon service being conducted in the sixth line baptist church by their pastor mr stanley medhurst mr harry powell of toronto was here at his summer home over the weekend best wishes are extended to our newly weds mr and mrs george dewsbury mr don morton and friend of lindsay were in this vicinity on sunday congratulations to our town ship clerk mr john crawford and wife on the birth of a baby sister for elsie mrs art vanostrand is entertaining her sister miss florence cale who is holiday ing at her mothers here herbie and bobbie sprox- ton are spending a week with their grand parents mr and mrs louis brillinger of bethesda it looks as though a few houses should be built in our hamlet as every house is taken up and still others desiring to live here sorry to report mrs c dike of the 2nd line who is in her nineties is confined to her bed most of the time and is very weak two of the hydro power lines the one here and one just to our north were shut off about 2 hours owing to the storm and compelled the choir and con gregation to carry on the last hymn without the assistance of our electric organ owing to the electric storm during the latter part of church service the crowd quickly left for home at the close the people in this district rejoiced to see the rain as the crops were seriously in need of moist ure the oats are ripening
