ontario paper the other day showing a man out in his yard with two bear cubs he was feed ing them from a bottle and it was stated the cubs had a lik ing for soft drinks the man who has the cubs now was pre sented with them by a friend who secured them in the bush several months ago- the pre sent owner expresses pouot regarding the wisdom of fr ing them and is frank enough in admitting he has no idea where he will put them when they start attaining size taking cub bears out of the woods is rather an old custom and not a particularly good one either some of them are chain ed in yards and are a constant source of care nor can it be claimed that the bears them- selves have a particularly good time we are certain enough the man in the western ontario community who is at present owner of two young bears would be glad enough to be rid of them his friend may have had good intentions when he brought him the pair of cubs but the truth is he presented him with a problem mixed bowling
