around here will take advantage of the interdenominatioinal bible school to be held in the mennonite church beginning on the 18th judgement of county councils seem sound the judgment of the major ity of county councils in on tario in supporting the live stock branch of the ontario department of agriculture in its efforts to have every county in ontario made a tb restricted area for cattle has proven sound in view of the recent action tak en by the united states depart ment of agriculture governing cattle being shipped to that country these regulations in substance state all canadian cattle being exported to the usa other than those for immediate slaughter must have a qualified veterinarians certificate show ing they have been tested with in 30 days of date of shipment and found free of bovine tuber culosis this however does not apply to cattle exported direct ly from an accredited area it means that a- veterinarians certificate is not required for cattle in the ontario counties already tested and the owners will be able to export freely- the reason given by american officials for their new law is that practically all united states cattle are tested and they wish to maintain this status and keep tb out of their herds this new ruling will probably require the testing of at least 100000 canadian cattle annually sent to the usa for feeding purposes altona congratulations to
