the villago resulting from a fall on a de fective sidewalk on main street opposite the property of mr j morrin mrs wilson stumbled on a pro truding block of cement three weeks ago this friday and in falling broke her glasses and suffered bruises to her face the matter was placed in the hands of the accident insurance co with which the village carries a policy protecting them from finan cial loss under such circumstances the companys representative eame out made an investigation and offer of settlement covering the cost of glasses and medical attention totalling 30 there are several pieces of walk over the village just as dangerous as the place where mrs wilson met with the accident and it will be up to the council to make prompt re pairs before more trouble happens insurance premiums are based on the claims made against municipali ties but aside from this aspect of the case walks must be safe for our people to pass over we understand that some new walks will be put down this summer
