council held at unionville last week the council decided by a vote of three to one to accept the tentative agreement nrade by the reeve with the e t stephens co to take over certain roads in don- caster park subdivision on yonge street at langstaff on condition that e t stephens co pay the council 1000 towards grading the roads there are about co nouses already erected on this subdivision and sev eral large deputations have appear ed before the council at various times during the past year asking the municipality to help put the roads in shape as during the rainy season the roads were impassible and the council promised the depu tation to help them the agreement between the coun cil and the e t stephens coywas the result tut until tuesday nights meeting was opposed by deputy- reeves campbeil and stiver how ever mr campbell on looking care fully intojhe situation changed his mind and was the mover of the re solution to adopt the agreement but still held to his original protest a- gainst the reeve entering into this agreement without first dealing with the council the agreement provides tluft on payment of 1000 by the et stepr hens co the municfpality will open and grade morgan avenue running east from yonge street for half mile to henderson avenue on which there is heavy filling and on which a numlber of culverts will require to be built and on one of the new streets to be opened up 270 feet of filling is to be undertaken it is also agreed to grade clarke avenue and extend the roadway clear through to the second concession of markham township a distance
