EDWARDS, Doris Thorburn -Surrounded by her loving family at Woodstock General Hospital on Sunday, May 10, 2009. Doris Thorburn Edwards of Woodstock and formerly of Beachville in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Ross Edwards (2006). Mother of Paul Edwards (Mary Ellen) and James Edwards (Kate). Much loved grandmother of Shawn Edwards (Juliet), Nicole (Dan) Mishchenko (nee Edwards), Jeremy (Sarah) Edwards, Ryan (Amanda) Edwards and Christopher Edwards. Cherished great grandmother of Ross, Eleanor and Claire Edwards and Samuel, Isaac, Grace and Caleb Mishchenko. In addition to being a devoted family member, Doris served her community and Oxford County. She was a lifetime active member of the Beachville Baptist Church, Eastern Star, Ingersoll and Beachville Public Library. She will be best remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who lived her life as an example to all. Friends will be received at the MCBEATH-DYNES FUNERAL HOME, 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll Tuesday 7-9 p.m. A private family interment service will be held at Beachville Cemetery on Wednesday morning. Friends are welcome to join the family for a Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Kaye officiating.
