ment buildings be constructed according to tpodubr coord inated plan designed to reduce labour and material costs the bill was introduced by the halton east member on no vember 23 on friday morning hon bay connell minister of public works for ontarlor an nounced that as of april 1 this year all buildings built for the government will be constructed on the principle suggested by snow according to the modular co ordinated plan all measure ments used in building must be divisible by four thisallowa everything to be built with standard modular ma terials- with a minimum of cut ting snow explained dinner for five new kinsmen appeal court chops sentence five years a court of appeal this week reduced the 15 year jail sentl ence against the 22 year old j who robbed the hornby general store and kidnapped a girl last june to 10 years toronto lawyer sal hany act ing for lawjer peter mcwllliams qc who defended the accused at the trial last october was appealing against conviction and sentence the accused was sentenced by judge kenne h m langdon to 10 year for armed robbery oft crawford s store at hornby and five jears consecutive on the charge of kidnapping a kit chener girl during his get away appeal against the conviction was dismissed by chief justice g a gale and justices g t evans and arthur kelly appeal as to sentence was granted with the court increasing he senten ce on the kidnap charge from five to ten years but making it concurrent instead of consecu live with 10 years for the arm ed robbery making a total sen tence of 10 years the prisoner will he eligible for parole
