this was what the boys needed to show them this league is a higher calibre than the house league the boys shotted their lack of experience in this calibre of ball but it is nothing that time and work cannot cure on monday june 6 the tykes travelled to oakville and boun ced back with an 82 win over oakville with tbe butterflies gone and steady good pitching from gary dewhurst and steady catching behind the plate by jeff macdonald the tykes looked real good in their first win ger ry anderson and ray peacock both wielded big bats and the coaches had all the players stealing bases at will including home base three times george town went into the lead 40 the first inning added steadily in every inning and kept the oakvule bats down to only two runs tbe tykes next game is at borne on
