faced during her time with the hospital and said that it was his considered opin ion that she bad made a major contribution to developing and bringing her department to its present excellence he gave her a beautiful silver tray suitably inscribed from georgetown me dical association mayor joe gibbons gave a few well chosen remarks and wished her well en behalf of the citizens of the ity in her reply mrs manning thanked everyone for the gifts and said she would certainly recall georgetown and her work here that she had so enjoyed many times in the future the gifts would act as a tangible link to her associations with the doctors and board and also of their many kindnesses to her she paid high tribute to the administrator fred whittaker and said it had been a pleasure to be associated
