march winds gusting up to hurricane force did mass damage in this area sunday television aerials were the storms favourite target and some 65 fell in town before 75 mile per hour blasts according to claims which flooded local insurance offices the next day the damage however was by no means limited to aerials huge sheets of aluminum sid ing were stripped off a storage building at mackenzie lumber
