one of the greatest spectaculars ever to be filmed three hours and thirty nine minutes in length it is only four minutes short of gone with the winds record time actually it is a remake of a 1023 picture which mr demille directed the movie then was of biblical background with a modern plot the 1059 version is an all biblical story and is probably the greatest of its kind of pictures ever to come out of hollywood many people are praising this candidate for the ministry of the ljpmujmtsfimeseem to think kti it is a pleasure to give greet ings to the present students of georgetown high school and other friends through the kind offer of high tales to publish a message in spite of the fact that my family no longer lives in george town i shall always remember it as home and good old ghs as the school to which i look back with rich memories sometimes those of us who grow up in small townef course george town is no longer a smell town 1 know but i am speaking as com- paredwith the big cltl idea that we havent in the op portunities of larger centres that is a great mistake the town has many advantages over the citywhich more than make up fox jjretack of the big things in particular it lit privilege to jro to school where there is a chance for evwr student to know ilor practicany att student boftr where town and rurtl youth mlngl together andiearn aome- thtng of each andlnteti sshets i hv that mr demiues use of a deep voice for the voice of god is a fault they suggest subtitles in stead of speech but this fault is forgotten after these people see the parting of the sea to let the hebrews across the column of fire representing god and the arm of lightning striking out from it burning the ten commandments into thejvall of the mountain and the burning bush the story is the familiar story of moses from the time he was a baby portrayed by fraser heston charltons sonbmng drawn out of the nile to the time when he ascended the mountain and went up to heaven this production in vista vision technicolour and stereophonic sound is sincerely recommended to all if jrqa are near the uni versity theatre in toronto some time in the near future you are urged to go and view the gargan tuan spectacular the ten com mandments iob report marerie green now that we have started our second term at school some of us may well wonder if we have ac quire anything worthwhile
