also a new horse barn are in the plans of the halton agricultural society for 1956 states howard armstrong pre sident of the milton society we understand that the old poultry building has already been dismant led and present plans call for the new buildings being of the pole type there is also a strong likelihood of a new junior building being erected which will enable the agricultural society to utilize the present junior building entirely for commercial concessions prize lists for art crafts the ladies section under the lea dcrship of mrs tom bousfield has already prepared their prize list for the sections in arts crafts ladies work and domestic science these prize lists may be secured from either mrs geo rtadhead setretary of the halton agricultural society or the agricultural office in milton this early release of the prize list covering these sections should re suit in displays more representative of the tilent in the county when ont realizes that over the past six years there have been hundreds of folk through the medium of night school classes learn to do outstand ing work m metalcraft leathercraft hand weaving oil painting plastic work ceramics etc etc it should be possible to literally fill one of the halls with this tpe of work and what a display it would make it is our opinion that if everyone who has participated in the night school pro gramme over the past six years would prepare an article or two hal ton would have a display on septem ber 28th and 29th unequalled in the province of ontario so get your prize list now and plan on exhibit ing something in these sections next fall on main st taggers will be selling tinned peanuts and giving nickel bags to those who contribute all funds raised are earmarked for tho community swimming pool fund the club is also planning a large money raising event in late june a monster bingo m the arena which will feature a 1 000 special prizb as well as other attractive prizes the lions also arranged for two booths
