mexico the campaign for a hospital m georgetown was auspiciously launch ed monday when the hospital asaoci ation sponsored an allday entertain ment in the park with vince mountford brampton keeping things moving briskly the variety of entertainment included fireworks children s races old tyme fiddling a fashion show square danc ing exhibition and bingo in the ar mory plus such sidelights as com munity singing and a happy birthday salute to mayor jack armstrong perfect weather marked the day some funds were raised for the hos pital through sale of draw tickets on the delrex gift home bingo and rc- fresment and game booths and a healthy interest created in the hos pital palnmnt the day tot underway with a par ade to the park georgetown girls pipe band led the marchers who included girl guides and brownies rangers high school cadets firemen civil defence members and the boys from notre dame school during opening ceremonies mayor armstrong warden stan allen and hospital committee chairman john gunn spoke from the platform and in the evening rex hcslop whose delrex firm donated the gift house was called forward for a few remarks 90 year old joe martin exhibited his agility in stepdancing and play in the bones while the mayor and vince mountford entertained withia violin duit a colourfully garbed square dance set from the high school led the square dancing while girls from the 54th annual conference of the ontario library association held in the mclaughlin public library os hawa on may 15th and 16th miss jordan attended meetings most particularly suited to the geor louisville public library they were also entertained at a coffee party after the banquet and to film showings of the mclaughlin public library the guest speaker at the trustees luncheon held in st an
