drive to strengthen the church spiritually numerically and financially the committee is made up of lay men under the chairmanship of mr penrice with members charles har ris rectors churchwarden thomas eason thomas vansickler john gun ning jack hart has rendered valua ble assistance as a financial advisor on the parish budget and literature the aim of the campaign is to ac quaint all the parish membership with the requirements and difficulties facing the church in the rapid grow ing community it is mainly directed at tripling the parish budget in 1956 and meet present outstanding obliga tions one of the immediate needs la a new organ as the present instrument has rendered faithful service and the time has arrived when repairs cannot restore it a substantial amount to wards this cost is being endeavoured in the campaign this year another feature of the loyalty drive is inviting the membership to become regular systematic contribu tors through the church envelope system allowing the churchwardens to operate on a sound assured budget the committee hope that over three hundred sets will come into regular use in 1956 intention cards are being distribu ted throughout the parish and easter day sunday april 1st the loyalty intentions will be collected in a large receptacle located in the church further canvassing and visitations will continue till april 20th on april 15th at evensong the archdeacon of trafalgar the ven s kirk lth will dedicate the new car pel and kneelers which are gifts of the congregation made possible through the advent thankoffcring folders on april the 22nd the sunday near est to st georges day the coipora- tion have proclaimed it loyalty sun day at the 11 am service the men of the church will conduct matting the rector will install the officers and all the intention cards will be offer ed to god on the altar at that service the climax of the loyalty drive is planned to coincide with the visit of the dihhop the rt rev w e eag- nall when he comes for the apostolic rite of holy confirmation on may 13 at that service the parishioners will be invited to attend and privately con secrate themselves afresh to gods service by pledging their loyalty l christ and mis church and the parish family of st georges it will be a devotional spiritual intention by the renewing of their own baptismal and confirmation vows the rector has issued a special family collect to be used by all mem bers during the loyalty drive and has urged everyone vitally concer ned with st georges to pray ferv ently for the committee and to ask gods blessing and
