was held in the hall friday night over one hun dred adults and children sat down to a bountiful supper at brightly decorated tables mr norman russ was chairman for an enjoyable pro gram with nuxnbersfrom each class in the sunday school he also ex tended a cordial invitation to all to attend the christmas services santa claus appeared after a few anxious moments and gave candy and jifts to the children the december meeting of the wa was held at the home of the president mrs l marshall the worship service was in charge of mrs g matthews during the bus iness period it was decided to send donations to the sick children s hospital and the tb fund a spe cial collection has- been taken at each meeting and this money is to be used to make a life member a program committee was appointed to prepare programmes for the coming year in answer to the roll call several humorous poems and other inspiring thoughts were read which should help us- to think of the real meaning of christmas rather than the commercial side several guests were present and all enjoyed an exchange of christmas gifts the rqport of the nominating com mittee was given by mrs j kirk- wood and the following officers
