georgetown fall fair on friday and saturday of this week the es quesing agricultural society look jtor one of the biggest events in their long history entries too have feft comingin in greater numbers and the 107th annual event should also see one of its largest lists of exhibitors and exhibits the fair building opens at 9 00 oclock friday morning to receive the entries in the baking ladies work flower and vegetable classes judging will begin at 100 and the hall will be open for public in spection beginning at seven in the evening the fair proper on saturday will get away to an early start with the exhibiting of livestock the horse snow and harness races commence promptly at 12 30 poultry judg ing at 10 oclock the midway promises to be bet ter than ever this year with rides and games for young and old while there will be a ferris wheel and other rides the merry go round promised has broken down and will not be available the directors of the fair are hope- ful that everyone will turn out to weir annual show they have spent many hours of planning this event for your enjoyment and look forward to meeting you and your friends at georgetown fair for the dancing crowd the usual three courses here rural night school halton rural night school will branch out this winter with three courses offered in georgetown and three in acton as well as the var iety of courses which will again be offered fn the county town as a result of representations made to the community programs branch dept of education after a meeting of interested georgetown and acton people a few weeks ago dick licata georgetown and mrs wes beatty acton have been ad ded to the planning committee it is not yet known what cour ses may be held in town the arts and crafts organization has under taken to advertise the night school locally and to coordinate courses here it is planned to circularize every citizen by mail some sug gested courses here are leathercraft oil painting metalcraft ceramics millinery photography and wood carving questionnaires will be answered and courses which will serve the majority of those inter ested will be chosen as most courses are limited to about a dozen people early applica tions will assure georgetown people of a chance to attend the local courses all courses in milton will of course be also available as in former years when several from town have
