some mis sing faces with del beaumont and harvey chappel back in the line up the raiders are showing some of the otd strength wouldnt it be nice to see nlckle ferri back in there too as for the game aside from the win it was mainly notable for an absence of spectators understand able this time for with four sun day school christmas concerts in town and a few in the country plus an important masonic lodge meet ing most everyone was busy else where that night final score was 94 maxie brad- bury bill hewitt ken nash and jack kemshead accounted for the other four goals wilf hillis reports to us that a phone call yesterday from a hes peler official relayed the news that hespeler is dropping out of league competition the reason no fans no money this in spite of a win against wal- kerton monday night in hespeler when heads were counted and some seventyodd spectators were present the new hespeler club has no fin ancial backing behind them and ap parently finds it impossible to keep on forever in the red not saying it will but it could happen here so get out temhose games in case youve misplaced your schedule remember future games are announced every week in the advertising columns walkerton plays here friday and the first sat urday in january it is elmira heye a protest by walkerton about the eligibility of three elmira play ers was aired recently before the oha and elmira was given the op tion of dropping the three disputed players all of whom come from kitchener or being elevated to sen- ior b a la bridgeport they chose to remain in competi tion with georgetown and walker ton games won to date however are forfeited to the opposing team so georgetown picks up two wins in this manoeuvre meanwhile elmira hit right back with a protest against walkerton who in turn had to drop two play ers if their games qrte forfeited too it would add another win for the raiders and make it 4 out of 6 apparently there is more than one way of winning hockey games and the raiders are near the top of the heap in spite of the scores elmira isnt weakened too badly however for they took advantage of the oha ruling which forces sen ior teams to cut their squad from 25 to 18 by december
