gladly gave his we his all he died the helpless to defend a faithful soldiers noble end lo remembered by mother sisters and brothers mm jo mjddyt death came suddenly to annie reid beloved widow of the late joseph 8 ruddy on- sunday september 25th as the result of an auto accident de ceased was in her 76th year and was a daughter of the late mr and mrs james reid of ksqueslng and the only surviving member of the family she was married on the 1st of july 53 years ago to joseph s ruddy who predeceased her m 1931 and had llv- ed her entire life in town and vlclnl- ty two sons survive fred of lon mimlco and three sons james o toronto and john and frank of nor val also four grandchildren- the late james hughes was an honorable man held in the highest esteem by all who knew him he was a member of holy cross church holy name society and knights ol columbus the funeral took place from his late home lot 13 con 10 equcsing on thursday mom in and after a service in holy cross church conducted by rev father mcbride the remains were in terred ui greenwood cemetery georgetown there were many beau tiful floral tributes from relatives and friends the pallbearers were wm cunningham george cleave wm sinclair james russell john gtboons and john kaiser mrs w b browne alter a long illness helen macdon- ald milne widow of the late w b browne died at her home in norval on thursday sept 23rd in her 81st year mrs browne was bom at mark- ham a daughter of the late c t armilne and was annbiuxrary mem ber of the imperial order of the daughters of the empire 48th high landers chapter and of the silver cross chapter she had been a de voted member of st pauls church of england mr browne predeceased her three years ago she is survived by four sons r m browne simcoe c m browne edmonton l m browne philadelphia and w g m browne norval and one daughter miss helen m browne norval the funeral took place on saturday lernoon when a service conducted by rev w g brook was held in st pauls church
