present and the reeve pre sided the minutes of the last meeting and special meetings were read and adopted i several items of correspond ence were read by the clerk and dealt with by council during the meeting there were three rec ommendations of land sever ances to be sent to the minister of municipal affairs ifor approv al o the rpqiifnt for p to have dog kennels on one acre of land by a resident of eden mills the council decided that no action be taken to erect ken nels on less than ten acres the building inspector was instruc ted to issue a building permit as requested by a rockwood resident a township resident was granted a tax rebate on 1966 taxes due to the loss of his house by fire d rowan and e barnstaple requested a grant for the federa tion of agnculture council promised their co- operation when the bylaw for makingsuch a grant is prepared two township residents re quested councils support and to clarify from the department of municipal affairs the nonap proval of
