situation studied as oakville seeks 50000 from county council a request for 50000 grant was made to hal ion county council in regular session tuesday by the oakvilletrafaluar hospital tom chisholm appearing on behalf of the hospital board said the hos pital now contained 172 beds and 42 bassinettes our hospital board are out to raise 265000 all of which is being raised from private sources with the exception of the 50000 which we hope will be a grant from this council mr chisholm said warden stanley allen told council the county hospital sur vey is now completed and dr h agnewwill make the domestic science and floral dis plays retained a high level school childrens exhibits the noncomp etitive displays and the night school work attracted wide at tention livestock exhibits and competit ion proved as lively as ever par ticularly in the tendency for ah in creasing number of cattle and horse classes to be dominated by younger or junior farmers the fair got into full stride fri day evening when over 1000 at tended a sparkling variety show in the arena president smith griffin welcomed the crowd be fore the show started and r r parker acted as master of cerem onies announce
