a home for haltons senior citizens which is scheduled to opon sunday at 2pm it is designed to accommodate about 95 persons that may be accommodated in an active area infirmary wing or in a wing where they may require special at tention the grounds are to be developed with attractive planting and lawn fereas the planting of shade trees is contemplated in certain areas where outdoor sitting space is planned stalj photo haiton centennial manor will throw open its doors to halton citizens on sunday when hon goodfellow minister of welfare for ontario officially opens the new county centre located on no 25 highway just south of milton a brief dedication service is scheduled for 2pm sunday with a tour of the manor to follow the new county home replaces the peel halton home at brampton which is turned over for the use of peel counly following a mutual settlement halton s senior citizens have been accommodated at bramoton since 1909 when this county purchased a half interest in the peel as it proceeded alone no 7 highway just west of the first line the early model car was damaged when the fire burned out the wiring finlcy explained that he noticed smoke coming through the floor boards when he got out and lifted the hood the flames leaped out his on hand was burned slightly an he extinguished the blaze with sand from the edge of the road before the brigade arrived other pas sengers in the car were not injured the brigade was delayed in an swering the call when preliminary instructions came through that there was a fire on no 7 highway between acton and guclph mori compu
