park was the event inst saturday when the wool combing cororation of canada limited and the canadian wool company limited combined in an outing and social time between 700 and 800 attended em ployees members of their families and friends were joined in the big family croup that enjoyed the sports the lunch and the presentations and the social time arranged there was something for young and old and of course the middleaged were extra buty main interest how ever was featured around the trophy events in which one of the five de partment compel 1 tic were to hold the handsome lord tturnhy trophy evening and the picnic supper left not a vacancy cole bros of tor onto had charge of the feeding of the 700 or 800 there were hot dogs with or without plenty of tasty sand wiches lemonade tea coffee milk cakes and ice cream three big mar quees at one end of tho park with rows upon rows of tables in front gave accommodation for serving everyone we can just imagine how the ladies appreciated such a picnic when the onus of the lunch was taken from their shoulders 1 in the horseshoe pitching wccc night won from cwc 40 to 34 wccc day won from wccc warehouse by 42 to it in the first round in the finals wccc night in the koftball competitions two diamonds were used und wccc nigtit won by 14 to 13 from wccc day iho other game raw the cwc team win by 4113 from the wccc warehouse team in the finals the wccc night nosed out the cwc team in the lust innlngn by the close score of 1514 the tugofwsfr ww wome close pulls between evenly matched team and after this final trophy event many of the men wer glad to call it a day cwc won the first pulls rrom wccc warehouse ami wc cc day took the first round from wccc night in the final pull it was the cwc team that had the weight and the
