Full Text: (Peel Farmer of the year 1989). Suddenly at Dufferin Area Hospital, Orangeville on Friday, March 7, 1997 in his 89th year, Harold Wright, Sandhill. Beloved husband of Irene Ackroyd. Loving father and father-in-law of Joyce and Bill McDowell, Bolton; Jean Mason and Lou Hogue, Bolton; Roy and Edna, Lloyd, Keith and Joanne at the home on the family farm. Dearest grandfather of Brenda, Cheryl, Dwain, Darren, Dean, Ryand and Carly. Cherished great-grandfather of Kaylyn, Jared, Taylor and Connor. Dear brother of Irene Tribble and Donald Wright, both of Brampton and predeceased by Ernest, William,Thomas, Norman Wright and Jessie Bunton. Harold was well known in the Peel farming community as Past President of Peel County Soil and Crop Improvement Association; Past Director of Peel Federation of Agriculture; Albion Land Division Board Member; Albion Live Stock Evaluator for many years; Member and Chairman of Albion Township School Board for 27 years; Honourary Elder of Sandhill United Church and Director of Providence Cemetery Board.
