For the third year running, Whitby’s Glenn Beauchamp has won the Canadian Senior Men’s Judo championship.
The 23 – year – old Olympian won the title in a tournament held in Lethbridge, Alberta, over the weekend.
Beauchamp, a student at Waterloo University, came fourth in last year’s judo competition at the Los Angeles Olympics.
In other Whitby judo news, Beauchamp’s brother Stephen, won a silver medal at the AM – CAN Tournament held in Buffalo, New York, on the weekend.
Beauchamp faced American Olympians on his way to the medal. The 21 – year – old is a student at Durham College.
