By simply turning the lights on and off the grower can give his seedlings their required 14 to 18-hour "day". You might even want to buy an automatic timer switch. Since the greenhouse has its own atmosphere and light, it can be located in any cool room or a corner of the basement. In fact, any place that is a fairly constant 55 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperature builds up _ inside when the lights are on, but the location should not be so cool that Greenhouse' plants will suffer when the lights are off. Since fluorescent lights are cooler than incandescent bulbs, the plants are placed six to 12 inches from the light by blocking up their trays. They are lowered as they grow. An added benefit is that fluorescent lights use less power so are cheaper. If extra heat is needed, you can hang an ordinary bulb or two inside. Work centres on the silver prop- erty of the United Cobalt and in- some 250 feet and driving a cross- cut approximately 1,000 feet to reach ore intersections located in a vein structure. - The previous phase of the work at United Cobalt consisted of re- activating the old 850-foot shaft sunk in 1908, and drilling for fa- ourable structure. A highgrade in- tersection.was followed-up with a crosscut for more detailed drilling, the results of which have produced the decision to proceed with devel- opment work for access. In addition to the original high- grade intersection, eleven holes have been drilled through the structure, nearly all of which pro- duced silver values.
