Rotarians Hear Local Assayer An account of the work done in the Browning Street assay labor- atory of Bell-White was an inter- esting part of the program at the Rotary Club dinner last week. The account was given by Bud Brooks as guest speaker, and the story of the samples of gold and silver ore as they go through the hands of the workers there was listened to with keen interest. And speaking of gold and silver, Mr. Brooks, who is the treasurer of the Easter Seal campaign, re- ported that as of April 8, $530 had been received. This week, the program was provided by Tom Parry, a Rotar- ian who is a member of the teach- ing profession; whose talk led to some interesting discussion. Kitchen Shower For Shirley Scalzo A very charming kitchen show- er was arranged by Margaret and Priscella Cavanagh and Jo Sauve, in honor of Shirley Scalzo, whose marriage will take place in early May. The shower was held at the Cavanagh home and games and contests provided entertainment during the evening. The many beautifully wrapped gifts were presented to the guest of honor in a basket decorated in pink and blue.
