Firsts -at= Kirkland Bonspicl Among Clubs Taking Part; 'Event Ended on Saturday VIGGO KIHL Prizes awarded at the big T. & N.O.bonspiel held last week at Kirkland Lake were pretty well distributed among the clubs re- presented by rinks in the various competitions, although three first prizes were won by the home club, One of the other main awards went to a Toronto rink one to the Dome Mines club anc another to the McIntvre curlers with all other clubs taking part winning one or more of the sec- ond, third and fourth prizes. There were 29 rinks in the 'spiel, but with an extra draw each day and the use of the skat- ing areva for a day more than planned, the big event was wound up on Saturday. For the greater part of the week the wea'her was ideal, but on Friday the ice soft- ened up a bit and made the goine heavy then and on Saturday. The frost on Sa'urday nivht late however, remedied this conditior for the final in the Consols eve + Sunday morning. Following are the results of the events, with the prizes awarded: Geo. W.
