Lodges Hold Decoration Services Cobalt and Haileybury Brethren Meet for Combined Service On Sunday Last Oddfellows to the number of about fifty, mémbers of Cobalt and Haileybury Lodges, met on Sunday 4dast in the I1.0.0.F. Tem- ple here for the annual Decora- tion services, held in memory of brethren of the Order who have passed away. The members of the Order marched in procession to the old cemetery, where a plot is maintained jointly by the two lodges, and where the majority of the departed brethren are buried. Here the chief ceremony was per- formed when the memorial was surrounded after each of the in- dividual graves had been decor- ated with flowers. The ritualistic ceremonies were carried out with Bro. A. A. An- drews, P.G., of Haileybury Lodge acting as Noble Grand and Bro. C. H. Taylor, P:G:, of 'Cobalt Lodge, as Chaplain. The singing of familiar hymns and a splendid address by Rev. Fred. Smith, of the Cobalt United Church, added special interest to the beautiful ceremony of remembrance laid down by the Order. Rev. Smith spoke on "Personality" and of the great spirit of fraternity that is fostered by the I.0.0.F. and of their good works not only for the living but in remembering the dead. Several graves of deceased brothers in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery were also decorated with flowers and_ beautiful wreaths were placed on the mem- orial plot maintained by the two lodges. The day was fine and there were a number of townspeople who attended the service. Printed programs were passed around and all were invit- ed to join in the singing of the hymns. ver, the farme a Su ea 'o th Blueberrying has had a great seige this year, judging from the numbers of people who are seen every day on the rocks.
