The Georgian Bay Junior C Hockey league leading Cents hosted Stayner at Centennial Arena Friday night winning the contest 5-1. Wednesday night, the Cents will be in Penetang to face the Kings at 8:30 p.m. Kings tie one on 8-8 Penetanguishene-S. Charlebois Kings travelled to Parry Sound Sunday afternoon and skated to an 8-8 tie with the Brewers. The Kings led 3-2 after one period and trailed 5-4 after two. With less than eight minutes to play in the third, Penetang held an 8-6 lead. Mike Grube and Francois Charlebois gave the Kings a 2-0 first period lead before Mike McCann and Mike Tranter netted power play counters to tie the score. Charlebois scored a few seconds later for a 3-2 Penetang lead. Wayne Desjardins counted at 12:03 of the middle frame with a man advantage only to have the Brewers reply with three consecutive markers from Peter Dunne, Chris Orr and Steve Molyneaux. Desjardins knotted the score 15 seconds into the final 20 minutes, but Chris Orr regained the Brewer lead 30 seconds later. Desjardins completed his hat trick at the 17:48 mark and Richard Ronald upped the count to 7-6 just over a minute later. Kent Nelson completed the Kings scor- ing at the half way point in the period. Charlebois added three assists to his two goals . Peter Dunne scored a pair of markers at 7:15 and 5:59 to tie the score at 8-8 for Parry Sound. Penetang will be looking to get on the winning track Wednesday when they host the league leading Midland Stoneleigh Centennials at 8:30 p.m. First of the season Lever gets a shutout In Midland' Minor Hockey House League play last week, Homelife Atoms slipped past Midland Police to take sole possession of first place. Jeremy Cooper and Kevin Borsa each scored once to lead Homelife to a 2-1 win over Midland Police. Jeff Langley replied for the Police. Avco Finance edged Realty world 3-2. Stephen Bottineau, Brendan MacKell and Cory Bath netted singles for the victors while Aaron Coutts and Paul Armstrong tallied for Realty World. The win gives a third place tie to Avco with Realty World. Brent Lever recorded his first shutout as Bike Shop blanked Free Press 2-0 in Novice play. David Ashwood and Chad Grubb scored for Bike Shop. Royal LePage clipped Bourgeois 2-1 on goals from Chris Cooper and Jay Dorion. Michael Laurin recorded Bourgeois' the lone tally. In Tyke action, Ryan King potted six counters to power Bertram Fuels to a 10-7 win over the Wings. Brock Lavin and Paul Blake notched two apiece. Justin Neilon and Kris Dickerson replied with hat tricks for the Wings with Joel Rumney com- pleting the scoring. Dynasty Inn downed Stoneleigh Motors 6-1 with Jeremy Sauve accounting for half the offence for the victors. Nicholas Jeffery counted for Stoneleigh. Jeremy Bruhn and Craig Parkhill each scored as Midland Times blanked Penetang Number Two 2-0. Smith Mobile earned a 4-1 decision in Bantam action led by Jason Levesque's double tally and solos from Ryan Descham- bault and Spencer Warren. Ahead of the play Midland Stoneleigh Centennial's defenceman Guy Jeannotte (18) moves the puck over center ice in Friday night's clash with Stayner Siskins. The injury plaqued Cents have won 14 of their last 15 games and lead the Georgian Bay Junior C Hockey League. The Cents have eight away games and five home games remaining in the regular schedule which ends February 5 in Parry Sound. Duval smashes four in Woods Ice win Paille Exteriors and Roofing Flyers tied Dial-a-Movie Stars 4-4 in Penetang Midland Ladies Hockey League action Dec. 11. Paille took a 4-2 lead into the third period on two goals each from Moe McKinnon and Sharon Graham. Janice Holmes and Ruby Degenaar tallied twice each for the Stars. The first place Wood's Ice Warriors thrashed the Stoneleigh Sunbirds 8-2. Liz Duval registered a five-point night in- cluding four counters while Liane Hook added a pair of goals. Cyndy Gallagher and Laurie Robillard completed the scoring with Robillard also collecting three assists. Gail Latour and Jennifer Legault replied for Stoneleigh.
