Since low score wins, points were given for arriving at check points too early or too late. A total of 31 questions had to be answered and of course, wrong answers earned the team points. Questions ranged from '"'How many NFL cities have NHL franchises?"' to naming the cows counted in the fields from 'here to there"' to 'What happens to your lap when you stand up?" Organizers John L. Saunders and John Brown isncluded questions requiring obser- vation along the route which provided a closer look at the beautiful Georgian Bay countryside. While the Kurrles were driving to their first place finish in a 1986 Dodge Caravan, second place winners Nancy Burnham (driver) and Ted Hill (navigator) were within 15 points driving a 1986 Mazda truck. Burnham, an experienced Ice-Racer, will also compete in the upcoming TLMC Sum- mer Slalom events in which she was a major competitor last season.
