Saturday, Driftwood travelled to Parry Sound and skated to a convincing 16-3 win. The scoring parade began after only 25 seconds into the game when Raymond Dupuis connected from Shawn McConkey. Dupuis scored his second goal ten minutes later to give his team a 2-0 lead after being set up by Dwayne Johnson. Tim Mason scored an unassisted goal with just better than a minute left in the first period to stake Driftwood to a 3-0 lead. Driftwcod continued to score at will in the second period and it was Shawn McConkey who started the scoring with the assist go- ing to Shawn Gignac at the 2:39 mark. Less than three minutes later, Scott Cumm- ings made it 5-0 when he scored from Charles Secord and McConkey scored his second goal at the 5:27 mark to up the score to 6-0 before Parry Sound scored their first goal of the game. McConkey's goal was assisted by Raymond Dupuis. The home team scored its second goal 38 seconds later to narrow the gap to 6-2, but Tim Mason scored his second goal two minutes later after he was set up by Dwayne Johnson. With only 1:40 remaining in the second period, Scott Cummings scored his se- cond goal to give Drift- wood a commanding 8-2 lead and once again it was Charles Secord who was credited with the assist. The third period began with Parry Sound scoring the first goal, but after that it was all Driftwood. Leading the barrage was Donald Pauze after he took a pass from Dwayne Johnson. Minutes later, McConkey completed his hat trick when he scored an unassisted goal. Only 40 seconds later, Andy St. Amand scored the first of his two goals with the assists going to both Cum- mings and Dupuis. Tim Mason completed his hat trick three minutes later when he was set up by Secord. Raymond Dupuis likewise completed his hat trick on a pretty individual effort. Not to be outdone, Scott Cummings joined the hat trick club minutes later when he was set up in front of the Parry Sound net by line-mates Mason and St. Amant. Dwayne Johnson cashed in on the scoring late in the period and this time it was McConkey's turn to assist on the goal. Andy St. Amant finished the scoring for Driftwood with only 2:26 left in the game and Adrian Maurice drew the assist on the final goal which gave Penetang their biggest offensive victory of the season. However, Driftwood's game with the Owen Sound Pee Wees was a somewhat different outing. Although Driftwood scord the first goal when Tim Mason scored from Charles Secord and Scott Cummings, the game teetered back and forth - After the home team tied the game late in the first period, Driftwood's Shawn McConkey gave Penetang the lead 29 seconds into the second period after he blasted a hard shot from the blue line that beat the Owen Sound Netminder. Owen Sound tied the game and then went ahead by a goal before McConkey scored again to knot the game 3-3 after he was set up by winger Shawn Gignac. Owen Sound scored the next two goals to pull ahead by a 5-3 score in the third period, but Shawn Gignac's goal at the 12:13 mark narrowed the margin to 5-4. Both McConkey and Raymond Dupuis were given assists on Gignac's goal.
