Midgets drop third inrow Penetanguishene Little Lake Service Center 'Midgets lost their third straight game of the season Saturday night at thre local arena. After a season opening 5-2 win over Parry Sound, the Midgets lost 11-0 to Midland, 6-3 to Coll- ingwood and 4-3 to Bracebridge. The loss to Midland, a game where nothing went right, showed the boys that hockey is a game of both offence and defence. Midland, using a complete line of bantam aged players called up for the game, dominated in every facet. Thursday night in Coll- ingwood, Penetanguishene's Brian Robillard put the Midgets on the board at 1:40 of the first assisted by Shawn Desjardins. Collingwood fired the equalizer nine minutes later. Keith Rankin put Little Lake Service Centre in front early in the middle stanza with help from Des- jardins. However, poor defensive work and bad back checking by the for- wards resulted in three unanswered Collingwood tallies for a 4-2 lead in favor of the visitors. The third period was even until Collingwood scored at 10:27. A fighting major assessed to Brian Robillard took away a big part of Penetang's offence. Keith Rankin counted his second marker of the night at 11:50 assisted by Keith Secord and Shawn Desgjar- dins. Collingwood finished off the scoring at 14:34 for a 6-3 win. Bracebridge outshot Penetang Saturday night 36-16 on the way to a 4-3 win. Steve Robitaille's first goal of the season opened the scoring with an assist to Stu Fraser which held up until 7:35 of the second when Bracebridge scored followed by another one with only 13 seconds re- maining in the period. Penetang evened the score at 1:03 of the third when Rob Leclair combin- ed with Jim Hartman. Bracebridge took a 3-2 lead at the 3:52 mark but Desjar- dins drew Penetang even on a beautiful breakout froma pass off the stick of Glenn Robillard. The win- ning goal was scored in a very unfortunate manner as a shot wide of the net hit the boards, rebounded off a Penetang defenceman in- to the net. The services of lan Charlebois were lost to Penetang for the next two games for his involvement in a fight late in the third period. Next game for Penetang Little Lake Service Centre Midgets will be Sunday against Midland.
