=_ a Kathleen F. Cottrell, 56 Kathleen F. Cottrell (nee Orser), beloved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. E. Orser, passed away at Huronia District Hospital on Wednesday, October 7, 1987 in her 56th year. She is lovingly survived and remembered by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Wm. E. Orser, her brother Mr. H.E. (Butch) Orser and wife Jo Anne, all of Penetang. She is also sur- vived by nieces and nephews Janice (Mrs. Tom Thompson), Robert Orser, both of Penetang, Michael Orser of Peterborough, Mary-Kay (Mrs. Julian Nalnyk) of Tottenham, and Brian Orser of Orillia. Also survived by her uncle Mr. Frank Gladwin, and cousins Pat (Mrs. John Burke), and Gordon Moorehouse, all of Ottawa. Mrs. Cottrell had a very successful career as a criminal lawyer in Califor- nia for many years. Her ac- complishments included: 1962 - Juris Doctor, South Western University School of Law, Los Angeles, California 1965 - Admitted to prac- tice Supreme Court of California and Federal District Court 1965-68 - General Prac- tise with an emphasis on Domestic Relations and Small Business Law 1968-69 - Staff Attorney, Riverside Legal Aid Socie- ty, Riverside California 1968-69 - Advisor, Com- munity Action Group, Riverside, California 1970-75 - General Prac- tise with an emphasis on Criminal Law 1970-75 - Member of Board of Directors, River- side chapter of the American Civil Liberty Union 1970-72 - Member of Board of Directors, River- side Legal Aid Society 1969-75 - Member of Board of Directors, Fair Housing Bureau, which in- itiated class action anti- discriminatory housing suits and were awarded permanent injunctions and damages at trial court. Mark Perry Dagenais, 30 Mark Perry Dagenais of Balm Beach Road died Oc- tober 8, 1987. He was 30 years old. Mr. Dagenais passed away at Huronia District Hospital after a car acci- dent in Victoria Harbour. He was born in Orillia to parents Marg and Fred Dagenais. On August 2, 1975 he married Brenda Hebner in Midland, where the couple resided. He worked at Maple Leaf Mills for eight years and also for the Midland Fire Department for 10 years. He is survived by wife Brenda Hebner _ of Midland, sons Kirk (age 11) and Cory (age 8), daughter Melissa (age 3), parents Marg and Fred Dagenais, parents-in-law Doug and Jeanette Hebner and brothers Larry and Brad Dagenais. Funeral services were held October 12, 1987 at St. Mark's Church with Father Wayne Manne officiating. Burial was at St. Margaret's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Midland Fire Department members, in full dress uniform: Mike Gagnon, Jamie Rodgers, Don Hebner, Jim Ironside, Jim Trollope and Al Hamelin. Funeral prayers were held Sunday, October 11 at Nicholls Funeral Home with 25 Midland Firefighters in attendance. Special readings at the church by Mike Gagnon and Tim Toole. Marie Helen Snow, 80 Marie Helen Snow (Valcheff), 80, died sudden- ly on October 28, 1987 at her home in Port McNicoll. Mrs. Snow is survived by her sons Henry Valcheff of Burlington, Ont., John Valcheff of Markham, Ont., Arthur Valcheff of Port MeNicoll, daughter Shirley Sangster of Midland, brothers Ed- mund Gaudette and Alex Patenaude and sisters Janet Latanville and Loretta In- chuk. Mrs. Snow also leaves behind 15 grand- children, 15 great grand- children and five great- great grandchildren. Her two former husbands, Paul Snow and Pano Valcheff, both are deceased. Her brothers John and Ernie, sisters Aurora and Georgina, and parents Ar- chie Gaudette and Mary Ann DuRieu The late Mrs. Mary Ann "Annie" DuRieu died at the Villa Community Care Centre, Midland on Oc- tober 28, 1987 following a lengthy illness at the age of 95 years. Mrs. DuRieu was born and lived most of her life on the "Lines" of Church Street in Penetanguishene, where she had been very involved with the historical church of St. James. She had been a resident of the Villa Community Care Centre for the last several years. Funeral service was held at St. James-on-the Lines Arthur Dusome, 67, of Midland The late Mr. Arthur Dusome died October 29, 1987 at the Huronia Dist- rict Hospital, Midland following a lengthy illness at the age of 67 years. Mr. Dusome, who was a carpenter by trade, was single and had lived most of his life in Midland. He had been a resident of the Villa Community Care Centre in Midland for the last several years. Funeral mass was held at St. Ann's Memorial Chu- rch, Penetanguishene on October 31, 1987 with Rev. A. Glaba as the cele- brant.Interment followed in the family plot at St. Ann's Cemetery, Penetanguishene. Pall bearers were Paul Dumont, Lawrence Dusome_ Jr., Jackie Charlebois, Eddy Longlad, Doug McIntyre and Ray Howard. Family: Brother Lawr- ence Dusome of Midland; Sister . Florence (Mrs. Eugene Ducaire) of Penetanguishene; Nieces Shirley Ducaire of Pene- tanguishene; Sherlene Shanks of Toronto and Marlene Hann of Whitby; Newphews Lawrence Dusome Jr. of Mississauga and Brian Dusome of Whitby. Family: Son James Hunter of Anaheim, California; Daughter Kathleen Dyson of Penetanguishene and also survived by 10 grand- children, 25 _ great- grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren. Pre-deceased by her hus- band Frank E. DuRieu and her daughter Adele (Mrs. George Bush). Philomine Girard also are deceased. The funeral was held on Oct. 31 at Sacred Heart Church, Port McNicoll where Mrs. Snow had been an active member. Father Fred Schmid was the of- ficiating clergyman. Mrs. Snow was laid to rest at St. Margaret's Cemetery, Midland. Parish Prayers were held on Oct. 30 at Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Ave., Midland. The pallbearers for the funeral were grandson, Er- nie Valcheff of Port McNicoll, Robert Sangster of Mississauga, Ont., Alan Sangster of Midland, Joey -- Valcheff of Markham, Gerald Valcheff of Mississauga and Henry Valcheff of Burlington. Grandson Gary Valcheff of Brantford, Ont. was the honorary pallbearer. Born in Depot Harbor, Parry Sound, Mrs. Snow worked at the Midland Shoe Factory, Pillsbury, C.P.R. Laundry and became a homemaker after retirement. The consolidation of the approved zoning is to provide for more detail- ed base maps thus facilitating the interpretation of the actual zones. By-law 1-87 is deemed to conform to the Official Plan for the Townsip of Tiny.
