Get to the Heart of it... Welcome back to Downtown Midland After being away from downtown Midland for over _a year, Leah's Boutique is back at 262 King Street (formerly M.J.'s Health Food Centre). Leah Bertrand, owner of the business, first opened at 317 King Street (Mulligan's Drug Store for those of us who remember - now Giselle's Wool Shop) in October of 1966. Leah had worked for a number of years at Eatons in Oshawa and Toronto before open- ing her own business. On arriving in Midland she worked in Edwards Department Store. After 20 years at 317 King Street, the building was sold and Leah moved to much smaller quarters at 758 Yonge Street. Leah said "'! had been looking for an opportunity to return to the downtown area and | finally it came. The new store had to be completely renovated. We started the first part of October and in less than a month we were ready. There are still a few minor things to do but we opened on time. It's really nice to be back. The response from my regular customers and new ones has been wonderful."' In the bright and spacious new location staff members including: Leah, Jane Bowman and Phyllis Cowdrey are always ready to assist you with all of your fashion needs. 2 Leah's Boutique carries a wide variety of quality, elegant fashions such as skirts, sweaters, blouses, dress pants, coats and dresses for everyday and evening wear. A specialty of Leah's is the Bridal Boutique with a variety of beautiful gowns for that "special' day; veils, head pieces, and dresses for the bridesmaids and mother of the bride. For all of your fashion needs drop into Leah's Bouti- que at the new location - 262 King Street or call 526-5304. ~
